Ramsey Judo Club boasts one of the largest mat areas in Cambridgeshire with a training area of over 150 square metres. We have been established for an amazing 30 years and currently have over 40 members from the age of six upwards.

The club trains at Bury Village Hall near Ramsey in Cambridgeshire. We have two sessions on a Monday evening, one for juniors and one for seniors.

Sensei Graham Thacker is the senior club coach and has been training in Judo for over 40 years. Also at the club we have three other qualified resident coaches, and regularly have guest coaches visit our club to pass on their knowledge.
      Junior Judo

Our junior session aims to progressively develop each child's skill level and attitude with the emphasis on having fun!

For the younger players we participate in the "Kano Club" award scheme which is recognised by the B.J.A.

Senior Judo

Our senior sessions include all aspects of judo training from the fundamental techniques to pre-arranged formal exercises for both men and women including, fitness training, Gokyo, kata, randori and competition skills.

The club is well attended by Dan grades from around the U.K.

We are affiliated to the British Judo Association.
